Disordered eating
Disordered eating, when thoughts and behaviours around food, body image, or eating patterns feel stressful, rigid, or hard to manage. If you’re struggling with disordered eating, we’re here to support you. We can support you with orthomolecular support, holistic nutrition support, hypnosis support, psychotherapy support, medical support, naturopathic support, herbal support & more.
How we support you:
Orthomolecular support: helping you find balance through many means such as nutrition, supplements & lifestyle depending on the support you're needing.
Holistic nutrition support: hsupporting you with gentle, non-restrictive nutritional guidance to help establish regular, balanced eating patterns and support overall nutritional well-being. Research suggests nutrition may play a role in mental health and emotional well-being, and nutritional support may be one contributing factor in a broader recovery-focused plan.
Hypnosis support: helping you support relaxation, reduce stress, and work with underlying thought patterns related to control, anxiety, self-image, and eating behaviours, while supporting a calmer and more balanced relationship with food and body awareness.
Medical support: medical support from a Nurse Practitioner and a Naturopathic Doctor to address symptoms, underlying contributors, and overall well-being through both clinical and natural approaches.
Psychotherapy support: supporting you to explore thoughts, emotions, and behaviours related to food, body image, control, and self-worth using evidence-informed therapeutic approaches.
• CBT: helping identify and shift thought patterns and behaviours that contribute to disordered eating cycles.
• DBT: supporting emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and coping skills related to urges, anxiety, and overwhelm.
• EMDR: helping process underlying experiences that may contribute to body image distress or eating-related patterns.
